The 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, 2026, in three phases. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Canton Fair and the 140th edition of the event.
According to information released at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on September 18, the 140th Canton Fair will have a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with more than 32,000 exhibitors.
Phase 2: Quality Home
The second phase will be held from October 23 to 27 under the theme “Quality Home.” It will cover three main sections: Building Materials and Furniture, Household Items, and Gifts and Decorations.
The Gifts and Decorations section is closely related to the candle industry. Covering more than 130,000 square meters, the section will include a wide range of home and decorative products for buyers from different markets.
Candle Products at the Canton Fair
Candles are commonly used for home decoration, festivals, gifts and lighting. At the Canton Fair, they are included in the Gifts and Decorations section of Phase 2.
Some professional candle manufacturers have announced their plans to exhibit during Phase 2. Their products will include white candles, pillar candles, tealight candles, jar candles and decorative candles。

What to Expect at the 140th Canton Fair
According to the Ministry of Commerce, this year’s Canton Fair will focus on new products, new technologies, specialization and product quality.
More than 11,000 high-quality companies, including specialized and innovative companies and national-level manufacturing champions, will take part in the fair. Around 64% of exhibitors use technologies such as industrial internet and artificial intelligence.
New products will account for 23.2% of the exhibits, while green products will account for 26%. Both figures are the highest in the history of the Canton Fair.
The fair will also introduce 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI applications for the first time. Booth-level navigation and AR information will also be available throughout the exhibition halls.
For buyers, more than 210,000 buyers from 196 countries and regions had completed pre-registration by the time of the September 18 press conference. Professional buyers account for nearly 80% of the total.
