A: Soy wax is a natural, renewable plant wax made from soybean oil. It burns cleaner – producing almost no soot or toxins. Paraffin wax is a petroleum by‑product and may release harmful substances like benzene and toluene when burned. Soy wax also burns longer and at a cooler temperature.
Q2: Why does my soy wax candle have an uneven or frosted surface?
A: That is called frosting – a natural characteristic of pure soy wax. It occurs when the wax crystallizes due to temperature changes. Frosting does not affect burn performance or scent; it actually confirms the wax is natural.
Q3: How do I prevent glass candle tunneling?
A: Tunneling happens when the first burn is too short. Always burn the candle for 2–3 hours on the first use until the entire wax pool reaches the jar’s edge. If tunneling has already occurred, wrap the top of the jar with aluminum foil (leaving a small opening) to help the wax melt evenly.
Q4: Why does the flame sometimes flicker or produce smoke?
A: The most common cause is a wick that is too long or a draft. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each lighting. Also, keep the candle away from fans, open windows, or air vents.
Q5: Is this elegant scneted candle safe for pets?
A: Yes, it is much safer than paraffin candles because we use 100% soy wax, a lead‑free cotton wick, and phthalate‑free fragrances. However, every pet is different. When using a scented candle for the first time, ensure good ventilation and observe your pet’s reaction. Do not burn candles in a small, enclosed space with your pet.
Q6: How do I clean and reuse the glass scented jar after the candle is finished?
A: When about 0.5 cm of wax remains, place the jar in the freezer for 2–3 hours. The frozen wax will shrink and pop out easily with a spoon or butter knife. Wash the jar with warm soapy water, dry it, and repurpose it as a holder for pens, brushes, plants, or small items.
Q7: Can pregnant women use this candle?
A: Yes. Our candles contain no paraffin, lead, or phthalates, so they burn clean. However, pregnancy can heighten sensitivity to scents. We recommend choosing mild fragrances (like lavender or white tea) and burning in a well‑ventilated room. Discontinue use if you feel any discomfort.

A: When stored properly (in a cool, dark place, preferably with a lid), the candle will retain its fragrance well within its shelf life. The cold throw (scent before lighting) may gradually weaken over many months, but the hot throw (scent when burning) remains strong.

A: This is called sweating – a normal physical phenomenon for natural soy wax. When temperatures rise, some fragrance oil may separate slightly and appear as droplets. Simply wipe them off with a paper towel. Store your candle below 25°C (77°F) to minimize sweating. It does not affect performance.
